Syndicate: Bloggers Blogging on Blogging

My first session at Syndicate really cracked me up. Up front is a great speaker with the usual PowerPoint slide projector. But out in the audience, three-fourths of the people are typing away on their computers. My first reaction: "Wow, that's rude. They should be listening."

Of course, the light bulb goes off: they are doing more than listening. They are blogging. In fact, during one session, a blogger in the audience asked the speaker for a clarification on a key point -- he wanted to be the first in the world to report on that announcement. By the time his question was answered, the news was on the Internet, available to millions of readers.

Bloggers blogging on blogging... you've gotta love it.
