Google Adds RSS to Gmail

Right on the heels of Yahoo!'s addition of RSS to its email program, Google has added the ability to have RSS feeds appear right above a user's email inbox. The feature doesn't yet appear to work on my Gmail account, but Gmail's help system talks about it, so I assume it's imminent.

People ask me all the time, "Will RSS kill email?" The answer is simple: for consumers, the two will merge and become indistinguishable. RSS will become individualized and personalized, and subscribers will read their RSS messages in the same programs in which they read their email.
